Smithsonian Fingerprint Kit

Smithsonian Fingerprint Kit is a hands-on STEM activity kit that turns young learners into forensic investigators. With tools like fingerprint powder, a stamp pad, magnifier, adhesive tape, brush, blower, fingerprint recording log, crime-scene “Do Not Cross” tape, and an instructional poster, the kit invites children (ages 8+) to capture, lift, and analyze prints—teaching them to recognize patterns, conduct careful observation, and record data, all through immersive, screen-free detective play.
